Join us this October as we celebrate the incredible contributions of older Queenslanders! From volunteers and community leaders to carers, grandparents, and advocates, Seniors Month recognises the vital role older people play in our communities.

Across Queensland, community groups and organisations are hosting inclusive events and activities designed to bring people together, strengthen social connections, and celebrate the skills, experience, and wisdom of older Queenslanders.

Here in Charters Towers, Council will be hosting a very special Seniors Morning Tea on Wednesday, 29 October 2025 at the Arthur Titley Centre.

The event will feature:

• Information booths showcasing local services and support for seniors
• Fun activities to get involved in
• A free morning tea to enjoy with friends and community

If you are a local business or community organisation that supports our elderly community, this is a great opportunity to get involved by hosting an information booth.
