The Heart of the Goldfields Rodeo is Charters Towers’ signature annual event, held each July at the Dalrymple Equestrian Centre. Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, it attracts thousands of visitors from across Australia and is recognised as one of North Queensland’s premier rodeos. The 2026 event will feature two big nights of rodeo action, plus live music and entertainment — making it a must-attend for locals and visitors alike.
