Rush Festival

RushFestivalPosterThe BIGGEST event in the Towers since the goldrush is here.  Council’s Official 150 Year Celebrations Rush Festival is set to be a fun packed weekend.

The Rush Festival is an exciting weekend of entertainment and activities, with something for the entire family, commencing on Friday, 30 September through to Sunday, 2 October.

The Festival will combine Council’s popular annual Towers Rush festival with a street parade and music festival, featuring a jam-packed line-up of famous and well-loved Aussie artists including Ross Wilson, Dragon, Kate Ceberano, Busby Marou, and Russell Morris.

Whilst the popular annual Twilight Markets and Towers Rush will form an integral part of the Festival, the addition of live music across the weekend is going to take it to new heights this year.

A street parade will kick off the festivities on Friday afternoon, followed by a fun family night of markets, film festival, kid’s entertainment, and great food.

The live music will start rocking at the Charters Towers Showgrounds from 2:30pm on Saturday afternoon with an 18+ event, and will continue on Sunday afternoon with an all ages event following Towers Rush.

If live music is not your thing, check out some of our other local attractions like the local Drive-In Movie Cinema or book a Longhorns Tour.
