Ravenswood Showgrounds

In order to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests and surrounding residents, please read and adhere to the enclosed.

Caravan Sites
•Bookings to be made online only via www.visitcharterstowers.com.au.
•The Ravenswood Town Officer will be around regularly to confirm your booking.
•One site per customer.
•Do not park in the ‘big rig’ bays unless told to by a Council representative.
•All vehicles should be parked considerately to accommodate other visitors staying or who may stay in the Showgrounds.
•All road and pathways (gravel and paved) and areas surrounding all building structures on site must be kept clear to allow for unobstructed access at all times. Any vehicles or items obstructing this access will be removed at the expense of the owner.
•Each individual site area is to be kept at a reasonable level of cleanliness and tidiness and all possessions contained within a reasonable area of your site.

General
•A person is not permitted to stay for a period greater than three (3) months in a period of four (4) consecutive months.
•Check-out time is by 10am.
•Noise levels must remain at reasonable limits at all times. Social gatherings, electronic entertainment and fun with friends are all part of a great holiday however, please be considerate and ensure that noise is contained to very low levels after 8.30pm.
•Unruly, rude and abusive behaviour will not be accepted. Please consider all staff, volunteers, campers and our neighbouring residents and respect everyone’s rights for a harmonious surrounding at all times.
•No open fires are permitted in the grounds.
•For safety, the speed limit in the showgrounds is walking pace (8-10kms/hr) as the area is a shared zone.
•Any person found to be damaging Council property or that of other guests will be evicted from the showgrounds and will be held responsible for repair costs.

Showers/Toilets
•Showers & Toilets will be cleaned three times a week.
•Please consider the person after you when using these amenities.
•Do not wash your pets in the toilet or bathroom facilities

Dump Point
•There are no dump points available in Ravenswood.
•The next dump location is located in Charters Towers at Columbia Poppet Head, New Queen Road.

Power & Water
•Power & water is subject to availability and service.
•All electrical cords to power outlets are to be secured to avoid trips.
•Cleaning of fish should be undertaken outside the grounds or within your own campsite.
•All scraps are to be securely wrapped and disposed of in external waste bins provided in the grounds.
•Vehicle cleaning is permitted on grassed areas only. Please use water wisely. Hoses must be handheld at all times. Do not leave any taps or hoses running unattended.

Pets
•Pets are permitted in the showgrounds however, they must be leashed or contained by suitable means at all times.
•Pets must be supervised at all times and never left unattended, including inside vans.
•As the owner of the pet, you are responsible for cleaning up after your pet which also includes toilet duties! Please take your animal’s waste away & dispose of it thoughtfully in the bins provided.
•No barking, yapping or aggressive behaviour allowed.
•Do not wash your pet in the toilet or bathroom facilities.
•All pet owners, whether you have expressly agreed or not, assume all liability regarding your pet being on our premises and indemnify Charters Towers Regional Council, staff & volunteers against all and any damages and all or any claims that may arise as a result of your pet being anywhere within the Showgrounds.

Any breach of these Terms and Conditions will result in immediate departure and forfeiture of any refund.
