Banjo’s Bush Legacy Returns to Charters Towers After 125 Years
Marking 125 years since Banjo Paterson visited Charters Towers during his 1901 lecture tour, award-winning bush poet Gregory North recreates this historic moment with a live performance. Life & Rhymes of Banjo Paterson combines poetry, storytelling and historical insight, bringing to life the poems and remarkable story of one of Australia’s most iconic writers.
This special anniversary event reconnects regional audiences with Banjo’s bush legacy in the very town he once visited.
