The Church building was constructed in 1885-7 as the first Lutheran Church in Charters Towers. It provided a place of worship for the then German community living in the town.
Description
The bell tower, hung with two bells brought from Germany, was completed in 1887 and is still operational. The Church is now privately owned and available for internal tours by arrangement. Please enquire about a suitable tour time at the Tour Desk in the Visitor Centre.
