Whichever experience you choose, you’ll find the locals in the Charters Towers Visitor Information Centre are ready to welcome you and help link you to local options for accommodation, dining, attractions, services and shopping during your stay. You’ll find nearly everything you need here, and enjoy some authentic country hospitality as well!

The Centre, located at 74 Mosman Street, which is at the top of Gill Street, facing the T-intersection, holds a wealth of local knowledge about Charters Towers and surrounding areas. The extensive range of information includes the Charters Towers Region, Townsville and Magnetic Island and the themed driving routes of The Great Inland Way, Overlander's Way, Great Tropical Drive, Matilda Highway and Savannah Way. Free wi-fi, public internet facilities and a booking service for local tours and attractions are also available.
